Friends of Guqin: Returning to the digital world
#

We are pleased to announce that “Friends of Guqin” is back. This blog, which was active between 2004 and 2012, was created with the purpose of promoting the art of the guqin, the seven-stringed Chinese zither, in English. Through articles on music, art, literature, and Chinese traditions, we shared the cultural richness surrounding this ancient instrument.

Thanks to the Wayback Machine from Internet Archive, we have managed to recover much of the original content. Although the blog has been inactive since 2012, interest in the guqin has continued to grow, and we believe this is the right time to restart the project and reach new audiences. We have worked hard to transfer the recovered content to a new domain, where we will once again share reviews and educational materials.

This return would not be possible without the ongoing support and interest from all of you—guqin enthusiasts and those curious about Chinese culture. We warmly welcome you back and invite you to once again explore the treasures of this fascinating instrument, to discover its history, and to immerse yourself in the serenity of its music.

With gratitude,
The Friends of Guqin team
